Abstract

The Diatessaron (Gospel harmony) [http://syriaca.org/work/10537] was compiled in the second century, probably in Syriac and possibly by Tatian. It was widely used in the Syriac world until being replaced by The Four Gospels (literary tradition) [http://syriaca.org/work/9645] in separated form. It is extant only in quotations, particularly in a commentary by Ephrem.
