"ܥܡ ܬܩܢ̈ܬܐ ܣ̈ܓܝܐܬܐ ܘܕܘܒܪܐ ܕܙܕܝܩܘܬܐ ܕܩܢܐ ܗܘܐ ܡܘܪܝܩܐ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܪܗܘܡܐ. ܐܠܐ ܐܦ ܗܕܐ ܐܘܣܦ ܗܘܐ ܥܠ ܥܡ̈ܠܘܗܝ. ܕܗܘ ܢܗܘܐ ܗܘܦܪܟܐ. ܗܢܘ ܕܝܢ ܕܝܢܐ."1 "Avec les nombreuses qualités et la conduite juste qu’avait acquises l’empereur romain Maurice, il ajouta aussi à ses peines d’être hyparque, c’est-à-dire juge."1
