"ܓܪܝܓܘܪܝܘܣ ܗܘܿ ܕܬܠܡܕ ܠܐܪ̈ܡܢܝܐ ܐܘ ܪܚܡ ܝܘܠܦܢܐ: ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܐܝܬ ܠܡܕܥ ܡܢ ܡ̈ܠܐ ܕܬܫܥܝܬܐ ܕܥܠܘܗܝ̣. ܒܓܢܣܗ ܡܢ ܪܘܡܝܐ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܗܘܐ."1 "Ce Grégoire qui enseigna les Arméniens, ô ami de la science, comme on peut le savoir par les mots de l’histoire écrite sur lui, était par sa race Romain."1
