"Bp. of the Arabs and learned author."1 In hagiography: George of the Arabs is commemorated as a student of Severus of Sebokht at Qenneshre, who was versed in all the branches of knowledge of his time. George became Bishop of the Arab tribes in 686. His seat was in Aqula.
