"ܡܪܝ ܦܝܠܟܣܝܢܘܣ ܐܦܝܣܩܘܦܐ ܕܡܒܘܓ ܚܟܝܡ ܒܐܠܗܐ ܘܢܗܝܪ ܒܝܕܥܬܐ. ܗܘ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܡܪܝ ܐܟܣܢܝܐ ܕܡܬܛܒܒ ܒܟܬܒ̈ܐ. ܘܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܡܢ ܩܪܝܬܐ ܬܚܝܠ ܕܐܝܬܝܗܿ ܒܐܬܪܐ ܕܦܪ̈ܣܝܐ."2 "Mâr Philoxène évêque de Mabboug, sage en Dieu et brillant dans la science; il est Mâr Xénaias, connu dans les livres. Et il était du village de Tahîl qui est au pays des Perses."1
