"Mâr Abraham l’illustre était un nom honorable, une gloire bonne et durable, un nom qui orne la personne et une personne qui orne le nom."1 "ܫܡܐ ܗܘܐ ܝܩܝܪܐ ܡܪܝ ܐܒܪܗܡ ܢܨܝܚܐ: ܘܫܘܒܗܪܐ ܛܒܐ ܘܡܩܘܝܢܐܿ. ܫܡܐ ܕܡܨܒܬ ܠܦܪܨܘܦܐ: ܘܦܪܨܘܦܐ ܕܗܘ ܡܨܒܬ ܠܫܡܐ."1

"ܗܢܐ ܡܪܝ ܐܒܪܗܡ ܒܓܢܣܗ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܡܢ ܐܬܪܐ ܡܒܪܟܐ ܕܟܫܟܪ. ܘܩܪܝܬܗ ܡܬܩܪܝܐ ܕܐܕܘܪܐܢ ܐܫܟܪܐ ܕܥܡܐ ܡܗܝܡܢܐ."1 "Ce Mâr Abraham était, par sa famille, originaire du pays béni de Kashkar, et son village s’appelait Dâdwarân, champ du peuple fidèle."1

Et voilà que des secours s’écoulent de lui pour quiconque s’approche de lui avec foi. Le jour de son décès fut le deux Iyar; que sa prière soit avec nous. Amen."1
