“ܩܕܡܝܐ ܗܟܝܠ ܕܐܦܣܩܘܦ̈ܐ ܕܗܘܐ ܠܐܬܪܐ ܕܚܕܝܒ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܗܝ ܐܟܡܐ ܕܐܡܪ ܗܒܝܠ ܡܠܦܢܐ ܡܪܝ ܦܩܝܕܐ ܗܘܿ ܕܐܕܝ ܫܠܝܚܐ ܒܝܬܗ ܣܡ ܥܠܘܗܝ ܐܝܕܐ.” 1
“Le premier des évêques du pays d’Adiabène fut donc, comme le dit le docteur Abel, Mar Peqîdâ, celui à qui l’apôtre Adday en personne imposa la main.” 1
