“ܘܡܢ ܒܬܪ ܕܫܠܡ ܩܨܐ ܕܝܘܡܘ̈ܗܝ ܕܩܘܣܛܢܛܝܣ ܡܠܟܐ ܡܗܝܡܢܐ ܘܪܚܿܡ ܠܡܫܝܚܐ: ܘܐܬܟܢܫ ܠܘܬ ܥܡܗ ܒܫܠܡܐ: ܘܐܬܬܘܣܦ ܥܠ ܐܒܗܘ̈ܗܝ: ܘܫܒܩ ܠܗ ܫܡܐ ܛܒܐ ܘܕܘܟܪܢܐ ܕܠܥܠܡ ܒܥ̈ܕܬܐ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܕܬܚܝܬ ܫܡܝܐ: ܩܒܠ ܒܬܪܗ ܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܝܘܠܝܢܘܣ ܪܫܝܥܐ ܘܥܢܬܐ.”1 “Après que l’empereur croyant et ami du Christ Constance eut fini ses jours, qu’il eut été enterré près de son peuple en paix, qu’il eut été associé à ses pères et qu’il eut laissé un bon nom et une mémoire éternelle dans toutes les Églises sous les cieux, lui succéda à l’Empire l’impie et pervers Julien.”1
