ܣܗ̈ܕܐ ܒܪ̈ܝܟܐ ܐܪܒܥܝܢ. ܠܝܡܬܐ ܢܚܬܘ ܗܘܘ ܒܫܡܗ ܕܡܪܗܘܢ. ܘܠܠܝܐ ܟܠܗ ܚܡܣܢܘ. ܘܣܝܒܪܘ ܥܪܝܐ ܘܩܘܪܐ ܩܫܝܐ. ܘܚܒ ܘܐܫܬܦܠ ܐܟܠܩܪܨܐ. ܘܙܟܘ ܗܢܘܢ ܐܦ ܐܬܟܠܠܘ. ܘܫܢܝܘ ܠܓܢܘܢܐ. ܕܚܝ̈ܐ ܠܥܠܡ. ܘܕܘܟܪܢܗܘܢ ܢܨܚ ܒܒܪܝܬܐ. 1
Les quarante martyrs bénis sont descendus dans le lac au nom de leur Seigneur, et toute la nuit ils ont persévéré et supporté le froid et le gel rigoureux. Et le diable a été vaincu et abattu; eux ont vaincu et ont été couronnés et ils sont partis à la noce de la vie éternelle et leur mémoire est illustre dans la création. 1

J’ai vu un miracle avec eux et je ne sais pas comment le dire: ce juge s’est mêlé avec eux, alors qu’il était persécuteur et il est devenu persécuté… Parce qu’il vit les couronnes descendre sur leurs têtes, il courut et ravit avec eux le Royaume. 1
