Bienheureuse es-tu, Marie, fille de pauvres, qui est denvenue la mère du seigneur des rois; dans ton sein a demeuré saintement celui de la louange duquel le ciel est plein. Bienheureuse ta poitrine qui l’a allaité avec ferveur; bienheureuse ta bouche qui l’a caressé avec avidité; bienheureux tes bras qui l’ont embrassé; tu fus un char et tu as porté un être de feu. 1

Bienheureuse es-tu, mère pleine de bonheurs, voici que toutes les générations te déclarent très heureuse à haute voix, à cause de l’enfant qui est apparu de toi; toutes les îles et toutes les nations par leurs populations te disent bienheureuse.
