ܬܘ ܢܐܡܪ ܕܛܘܒܝܗܿ ܠܗܿܝ ܡܪܝܡ. ܡܓܙܝܬܐ ܕܥܬܪܬ ܒܒܪ ܡܠܟܐ. ܪܒ ܛܘܒܗܿ ܘܥܦܝܦ ܕܘܟܪܢܗܿ. ܘܟܠ ܥܡ̈ܡܝܢ ܢܘܪܒܘܢ ܠܩܘܠܣܗܿ. ܗܝ ܡܪܝܡ ܐܡܪܬ ܕܢܬܠܢ ܠܝ. ܟܠ ܫܪ̈ܒܢ ܛܘܒܐ ܠܡܢ ܝܠܕܬ. ܐܬܠ ܠܗܿ ܛܘܒܐ ܕܙܡܢܬܢܝ. ܕܐܦ ܗܕܐ ܚܘܒܬܐ ܗܝ ܦܪ̈ܘܫܐ. 1
Venez, déclarons Marie bienheureuse, la femme sans enfants qu’a enrichie le fils du roi. Grand est son bonheur et double sa mémoire, que tous les peuples exaltent son éloge. Marie a dit elle-même: “Toutes les générations me déclareront bienheureuse” pour celui que j’ai enfanté. Je la déclarerai bienheureuse parce qu’elle m’a invité, ce qui est aussi une dette, ô sages. 1

Bienheureuse celle dont les bonheurs ont ainsi été multipliés, de sorte que tous les peuples s’enrichissent de son enfantement et que tous les peuples mangent du fruit de la vie qui est apparu d’elle et qu’il ne s’épuise pas. Bienheureuse celle que son homme n’a pas connue par l’union et qui par celui qui est né d’elle a fait passer la malédiction de la maison d’Adam. 1
