"ܛܘܒܢܐ ܝܘܐܢܝܣ̣. ܒܪ ܛܘܗܡܐ ܪܒܐ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܒܓܢܣܗ. ܡܕܝܢܬܗ ܕܝܢ ܐܢܛܝܟܝܐ ܕܣܘܪܝܐ. ܘܫܡܐ ܕܐܒܘܗܝ ܣܩܘܢܕܘܣ. ܕܐܡܗ ܕܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܣܐ."1 "Le bienheureux Jean était de grande famille par sa race; sa ville était Antioche de Syrie. Le nom de son père était Secundus et celui de sa mère Anthousa."1
