“ܢܨܝܚܐ ܡܪܝ ܐܒܪܗܡ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܗܘܐ ܒܓܢܿܣܐ ܕܐܢܫ̈ܐ ܡܫܡܗ̈ܐ ܘܒܥܘܬܪܐ ܘܒܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܡܫܪܬܚܝܢ ܗܘܘ. ܘܐܝܬܝܗܘܢ ܗܘܘ ܡܢ ܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܕܩܘܣܛܢܛܝܢܘ ܘܠܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܠܗܘܢ ܒܪܐ ܠܒܪ ܡܢܗ.”1 “L’illustre Mar Abraham était d’une famille renommée, à la fortune et à la foi abondantes; ils étaient de la ville de Constantinople et n’avaient pas de fils en dehors de lui.”1

“ܘܨܡܿܚ ܗܘܐ ܦܓܪܗ ܐܝܟ ܫܡܫܐ. ܘܣܡܘܗܝ ܒܓܠܘܣܩܡܐ ܕܫܝܫܐ. ܫܢܝ ܕܝܢ ܡܢ ܥܠܡܐ ܒܬܡܢܥܣܪ̈ܐ ܒܢܝܣܢ ܕܫܢܬ ܫܒ̈ܥ ܡܐܐ ܘܝܙ ܕܝܘ̈ܢܝܐ. ܕܨ̈ܠܘܬܗ ܢܗܘܘܢ ܠܗܿ ܫܘܪܐ ܠܥܕܬܐ ܘܠܟܠܗܘܢ ܝ̈ܠܝܕܝܗܿ. ܐܡܝܢ.”1 “Et son corps brillait comme le soleil; et ils le placèrent dans un cercueil de marbre. Il quitta ce monde le 18 Nîsan de l’an 717 des Grecs. Que ses prières soitent un rempart pour l’Église et tous ses enfants. Amen.”1
