ܡܛܠ ܐܒܐ ܦܘܠܘܣ ܒܙܒܢ ܗܘܐ ܫܘ̈ܐܠܐ ܒܝܬ ܝܚܝ̈ܕܝܐ ܘܕܝܪ̈ܝܐ: ܕܗܘܘ ܒܐܬܪܐ ܕܐܓܒܛܘܣ: ܕܡܢܘ ܩܕܡܝܐ ܕܟܠܗܘܢ ܥܡܪ ܒܡܕܒܪܐ. 1
Il y eut une fois parmi les solitaires et les moines du pays d’Égypte des questions concernant Abbâ Paul, pour savoir qui fut le premier de tous à habiter dans le désert. 1
