ܒܫܢܬ ܬܠܬܡܐܐ ܘܬܠܬܝܢ ܘܫܬ ܕܡܐܬܝܬܗ ܕܡܚܝܢܢ ܡܪܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܠܘܬ ܒܢܝ̈ܢܫܐ: ܐܝܬܝܗܿ ܗܘ̣ܬ ܕܡܟܣܡܝܢܘܣ ܡܠܟܐ ܡܪܥܝܢܐ ܕܫܐܕ̈ܐ: ܘܒܪ ܡܠܟܗ ܒܝܫܐ ܕܣܛܢܐ. ܗܘܿ ܕܒܡܠܟܘܬܗ ܕܪܘܫܥܐ ܒܛܥܝܘܬܐ ܣܓܝܐܬܐ ܐܚܝܕ ܗܘ̣ܐ: ܘܠܓܢܣܐ ܕܐܢܫܐ ܕܢܛܥܐ ܒܪܫܝܥܘܬܗ ܡܬܚܫܒ ܗܘ̣ܐ. 1
En l’an 336 de notre vivificateur notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ parmi les hommes, il se fit que l’empereur Maximien, propitiateur des démons et conseiller mauvais de Satan, lui qui dans son règne d’impiété fut pris dans de nombreuses erreurs, médita de tromper la race humaine dans son impiété. 1

Le mois où fut couronné le bienheureux était celui de Teshri I, le sept du mois. Il y eut de nombreux signes à l’endroit où reposait le saint; et quiconque vient se réfugier dans les prières du saint martyr avec une foi vraie est aidé par la force de Dieu, à qui… Amen. 1
