"ܒܫܢܬ ܚܡܫܡ̈ܐܐ ܘܬ̈ܠܬ ܕܐܠܟܣܢܕܪܘܣ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܝ̈ܘܢܝܐ ܓܒܪܐ ܚܕ ܐܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܒܐܠܟܣܢܕܪܝܐ ܘܫܡܗ ܗܘܐ ܝܘܣܛܘܣ ܘܛܒ ܙܕܝܩ ܗܘܐ ܓܒܪܐ ܗܢܐ ܩܕܡ ܡܪܝܐ. ܘܐܦ ܒܢܡ̈ܘܣܘܗܝ ܘܒܦܘ̈ܩܕܢܘܗܝ ܡܗܠܟ ܗܘܐ. ܘܫܡܗܿ ܕܐܢܬܬܗ ܦܪܝܣܩܝܠܐ."1 "En l’an 503 d’Alexandre roi des Grecs, il y avait à Alexandrie un homme qui s’appelait Justus et qui était très juste devant le Seigneur, marchant dans ses lois et ses commandements.
