"ܛܘܒܝܟ ܙܗܝܐ ܘܡܩܕܫܐ ܒܦܓܪܐ ܐܟܚܕ ܘܒܢܦܫܐ. ܘܠܐ ܣܟ ܐܙܕܟܝܬ ܒܬܟܬܘܫܐ. ܕܣܕܪ ܥܠܝܟ ܣܢܐܐ ܒܝܫܐ."1 "Heureux es-tu, chaste et sanctifié dans ton corps et dans ton âme. Tu n’as pas du tout été vaincu par le combat qu’a ordonné contre toi l’ennemi mauvais."1

"ܫܢܬ ܐܦܦܓ ܠܣܝܩܘܡ ܝܘܢ. ܓܕܫ ܗܠܝܢ ܠܗܢܐ ܡܫܡܫܢ. ܘܩܛܠܘܗܝ ܘܪ̈ܓܡܘܗܝ ܕܠܐ ܚܘܣܢ. ܥܡܐ ܣܟܠܐ ܐܦ ܚܪܡܢ. ܟܕ ܗܕܐ ܠܡ ܗܘܬ ܥܠܬܐ. ܕܝܠܗ ܕܗܢ ܛܘܒܢܐ. ܐܡܝܢ."1 "En l’an 1883 selon le calcul des Grecs, arrivèrent ces choses à ce diacre, et ils le tuèrent et le lapidèrent sans force (?), peuple sot et cruel, ceci étant le grief de ce bienheureux.
