ܓܒܪܐ ܚܕ ܐܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܡܗܝܡܢܐ ܒܪܩܡܢ ܩܪܝܬܐ ܕܡܢ ܫܘܠܛܢܐ ܕܡܪ̈ܕܐ. ܘܫܡܗ ܩܘܣܛܘܣ ܘܐܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܠܗ ܐܢܬܬܐ ܕܕܚܠܐ ܗܘܬ ܡܢ ܐܠܗܐ ܘܫܡܗܿ ܬܟܣܛܣܛܐ ܘܐܝܟ ܨܒܝܢܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܗܘܘ ܠܗܘܢ ܒ̈ܢܝܐ ܬܪ̈ܝܢ ܫܡܗ ܕܚܕ ܙܘܩܐ ܘܕܐܚܪܢܐ ܐܒܚܝ. 1
Il y avait un homme croyant dans le village de Reqman de la province de Mardîn qui s’appelait Constant; il avait une femme pieuse qui s’appelait ??? et selon la volonté de Dieu ils avaient deux fils, l’un s’appelait Zûqâ et l’autre Abhay. 1

ܘܐܬܩܪܝܬ ܕܝܪܐ ܗܿܝ ܕܡܪܝ ܐܒܚܝ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܝܘܡܢܐ. ܘܟܕ ܚܙܐ ܐܢܕܪܐܣ ܬܠܡܝܕܗ ܕܡܝܬ ܪܒܗ ܒܟܐ ܡܪܝܪܐܝܬ ܘܩܘܝ ܒܗܿ ܒܕܝܪܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܥܘܢܕܢܗ. ܕܒ̈ܨܠܘܬܗܘܢ... ܐܡܝܢ. 1
Et ce monastère fut appelé monastère de Mâr Abhay jusqu’à aujourd’hui. Et uand son disciple André vit que son maître était mort, il pleura amèrement et resta dans ce monastère jusqu’à sa mort. Qu’à leurs prières… Amen. 1
