"Par la grâce de Dieu la Bonne Nouvelle a été plantée sous les cieux et par toute la terre, par Jésus-Christ Sauveur de tous les hommes afin que tous croyent en Dieu tout-puissant, en Jésus-Christ le Fils unique et en l’Esprit vivant et saint."1 "ܒܛܝܒܘܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ. ܣܒܪܬܐ ܬܚܝܬ ܫܡܝܐ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܟܠܗܿ ܐܙܕܪܥܬ. ܡܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܦܪܘܩܐ ܕܟܠܗܘܢ ܒܢ̈ܝ ܐܢܫܐ. ܕܢܗܝܡܢ ܟܘܠ ܐܢܫ ܒܐܠܗܐ ܐܚܝܕ ܟܘܠ. ܘܒܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܒܪܐ ܝܚܝܕܝܐ. ܘܒܪܘܚܐ ܚܝܐ ܘܩܕܝܫܐ."1

"ܐܢܬܬܐ ܕܝܢ ܚܕܐ ܐܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܡܢ ܓܢܣܐ ܪܒܐ ܕܒܝܬ ܣܠܣܛܝܣ. ܘܫܡܗܿ ܣܘܦܝܐ."1 "Il y avait une femme de la grande famille des Sallustii, appelée Sophie."1
