"ܗܐ ܚ̈ܝܐ ܒܓܪ̈ܡܐ ܕܣ̈ܗܕܐ̣. ܘܡܢܘ ܕܢܫܪ ܕܠܐ ܚ̈ܝܝܢ. ܗܐ ܣܝ̈ܡܬܐ ܚ̈ܝܬܐ̣. ܘܡܿܢ ܢܬܦܠܓ ܥܠ ܗܕܐ."1 "Voilà la vie dans les os des martyrs, et qui affirmerait qu’ils ne sont pas vivants? Voilà des trésors vivants, et qui en douterait?"1

"ܡܘܢ ܒܟܐ ܐܢܬ ܠܫܠܝܬܐ ܕܢܦܩ ܠܗ ܥܘܠܐ ܡܢܗܿ. ܒܟܝ ܥܠ ܢܦܫܐ ܕܚܛܐ ܠܗܿ ܘܬܒܝܪ ܓܦܗܿ ܕܠܐ ܬܦܪܚ. ܕܒܚܛܗܐ ܩܨܬ ܓܦܝܗܿ ܕܠܐ ܬܣܩ ܠܗܿ ܠܫܡܝܐ. ܐܝܢܐ ܕܪܓܝܙ ܥܠ ܚܒܪܗܿ ܬܒܪ ܠܗ ܠܓܦܐ ܕܢܦܫܐ."1 "Pourquoi pleures-tu la membrane d’où est sorti le bébé? Pleure sur l’âme qui a péché et dont est brisée l’aile et qui ne pourra voler; par le péché elle a brisé ses ailes et ne pourra monter au ciel.
