ܬܫܥܝܬܐ ܗܟܝܠ ܕܬܢܝܢܢ ܡܢ ܠܥܠ ܕܓܒܪܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ. ܡܢܗ ܡܢ ܦܪܡܘܢܪܐ ܗܿܘ ܕܗܘܐ ܡܚܒܢܗ ܕܛܘܒܢܐ ܐܬܟܪܙܬ. ܡܢ ܒܬܪ ܕܝܢ ܗܠܝܢ. ܟܕ ܗܠܟ ܙܒܢܐ ܠܐ ܙܥܘܪܐ. ܐܬܝܒܠܬ ܠܘܬܢ ܬܫܥܝܬܐ ܐܚܪܬܐ ܕܥܠܘܗܝ ܕܝܠܗ ܕܗܢܐ ܓܒܪܐ ܕܬܕܡܘܪܬܐ. 1
L’histoire de l’homme de Dieu que nous avons donc racontée ci-dessus a été proclamée par le portier qui fut ami du bienheureux. Après cela, quand il se fut écoulé un temps non négligeable, nous fut rapportée une autre histoire sur cet homme admirable. 1

Qand donc l’homme de Dieu vit qu’il commençait à être connu des gens d’Édesse, il s’enfuit de là et vint à Laodicée. 1

Quand ils y eurent amené et placé le corps vénérable du saint, aussitôt cette châsse fit couler de la myrrhe d’odeur agréable, et toute l’assemblée se hâta de prendre de la myrrhe; et pour tous ceux qui en prenaient, elle était un grand secours, par la grâce de notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ, avec qui… Amen. 1
