"ܟܕ ܥܠ ܫܡܥܘܢ ܩܕܝܫܐ ܠܓܘ ܪܘܡܢܝܐ. ܐܫܟܚܗ ܠܣܝܡܘܢ ܚܪܫܐ ܢܕܝܕܐ ܘܡܣܠܝܐ. ܟܕ ܡܛܥܐ ܠܒܢܝܢ̈ܫܐ ܒܦܬܓ̈ܡܘܗܝ ܣ̈ܢܝܐ. ܘܛܒ ܡܬܡܗ ܗܘܐ ܠܗܘܢ. ܠܪ̈ܗܘܡܝܐ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܟܕ ܐܡܿܪ ܗܘܐ ܠܗܘܢ ܠܐܢܫ̈ܐ. ܒܪܗ ܐܢܐ ܕܥܠܝܐ."1 "Quand saint Simon entra à Rome, il trouva Simon le mage immonde et abominable, trompant les gens par ses paroles honteuses et il provoquait la stupeur de tous les Romains en disant aux gens: «Je suis le fils du Très-Haut.»"1
