ܟܕ ܥܠ ܫܡܥܘܢ ܩܕܝܫܐ ܠܓܘ ܪܘܡܢܝܐ. ܐܫܟܚܗ ܠܣܝܡܘܢ ܚܪܫܐ ܢܕܝܕܐ ܘܡܣܠܝܐ. ܟܕ ܡܛܥܐ ܠܒܢܝܢ̈ܫܐ ܒܦܬܓ̈ܡܘܗܝ ܣ̈ܢܝܐ. ܘܛܒ ܡܬܡܗ ܗܘܐ ܠܗܘܢ. ܠܪ̈ܗܘܡܝܐ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܟܕ ܐܡܿܪ ܗܘܐ ܠܗܘܢ ܠܐܢܫ̈ܐ. ܒܪܗ ܐܢܐ ܕܥܠܝܐ. 1
Quand saint Simon entra à Rome, il trouva Simon le mage immonde et abominable, trompant les gens par ses paroles honteuses et il provoquait la stupeur de tous les Romains en disant aux gens: «Je suis le fils du Très-Haut.» 1

Les Romains tous ensemble crièrent avec amour et affection: «Maudit soit Simon éternellement par toutes les lèvres; béni soit Simon éternellement. Louanges au Seigneur». Et nous, comme eux, croyons au Seigneur de Simon. Que sa miséricorde soit sur l’auteur et nous de même. 1
