"Mes frères, venez, rendons gloire au maître de la gloire, lui dont la Providence a créé ce monde."1 "ܐܚ̈ܝ̣. ܬܘ ܢܣܩ ܬܫܒܘܚܬܐ ܠܗܿܘ ܡܪܗ ܕܬܫܒܘܚܬܐ. ܗܿܘ ܕܒܛܝܠܘܬܗ ܒܪܝܗܝ ܠܥܠܡܐ ܗܢܐ."1

"ܡܪܝ ܐܣܝܐ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܗܘܐ ܡܢ ܛܘܗܡܐ ܘܫܪܒܬܐ ܪܒܬܐ. ܒܐܠܦܝܕܝܐ ܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܪܒܬܐ ܥܡܪܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܐܒܗܘ̈ܗܝ ܕܗܢܐ ܩܕܝܫܐ."1 "Mar Âsyâ était de souche et de famille importante; les parents de ce saint habitaient dans la grande ville d’Elpidia."1
