"ܒܝܘ̈ܡܝ ܕܘܩܠܝܛܝܢܘܣ ܡܠܟܐ: ܘܚܬܢܗ ܡܟܣܝܡܝܐܢܘܣ̣. ܐܘܦܪܟܐ ܕܝܢ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܗܘܐ ܐܣܩܠܝܦܝܕܝܣ: ܘܨܒܐ ܗܘܐ ܐܘܦܪܟܐ ܠܡܥܠ ܠܥܕܬܐ ܘܠܡܪܕܦ ܠܟܪ̈ܣܛܝܢܐ."1 "Aux jours de l’empereur Dioclétien et de son collègue Maximien, l’éparque était Asclépiade; et l’éparque voulait entrer dans l’église pour persécuter les chrétiens."1
