"ܒܝܡܐ ܕܚܘ̈ܒܐ ܗܐ ܪܡܐ ܐܢܐ. ܘܒܡܚܫܘ̈ܠܐ ܗܐ ܡܛܒܥ ܐܢܐ. ܘܓܠܠܐ̈ ܕܚܫ̈ܐ ܚܢܩܝܢ ܠܝ. ܘܡܟܐ ܘܡܟܐ ܗܐ ܢܬܦܝܢ ܠܝ. ܐܝܟ ܫܡܥܘܢ ܗܐ ܩܪܐ ܐܢܐ. ܘܒܕܡܘܬܗ ܡܬܟܫܦ ܐܢܐ."1 "Voilà que je me lance dans la mer des péchés, voilà que je suis submergé par les tempêtes; et les flots des passions me suffoquent et m’entraînent de part et d’autre; comme Simon voilà que je crie et comme lui je supplie."1
