“ܬܫܥܝܬܐ ܕܓܒܪܐ ܕܬܕܡܘܪܬܐ ܐܡܪܝܢܢ ܐܢ ܗܘ ܕܓܒܪܐ ܘܠܐ ܠܡܩܪܐ ܠܐܝܢܐ ܕܗܟܢ ܗܘ̣. ܘܠܐ ܝܬܝܪܐܝܬ ܡܠܐܟܐ ܢܫܡܗܝܘܗܝ ܠܗܘܿ ܕܒܗܠܝܢ ܪ̈ܓܝܓܬܐ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܫܛ.”1 1
“Nous allons dire l’histoire d’un homme admirable, s’il faut appeler homme quelqu’un comme lui et non plutôt nommer ange celui qui a méprisé toutes les voluptés du monde.”1 1
