ܛܘܒܝܟ ܫܡܥܘܢ ܪܝܫ ܬܠܡܝܕ̈ܐ. ܕܒܪ ܐܠܗܐ ܛܘܒܐ ܝܗܒ ܠܟ. ܐܦ ܪܒܝܬܐ ܕܓܙܗ ܥܒܕܟ. ܘܕܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܩܠܝܕ̈ܐ ܝܗܒ ܠܟ. ܘܥܠ ܓܙܘܗܝ̈ ܫܡܝ̈ܢܐ ܐܫܠܛܟ. ܘܒܚܘܒܗ ܠܒܝܬ ܐܒܘܗܝ ܐܥܠܟ. ܘܗܘܝܬ ܪܚܡܐ. ܘܩܪܝܒܐ ܘܚܒܪܐ ܠܪܚܡ ܒܢܝ̈ܢܫܐ. 1
Bienheureux es-tu, Simon, chef des disciples, toi qu’a déclaré bienheureux le Fils de Dieu; il t’a aussi fait économe de ses trésors, il t’a donné les clés du Royaume, il t’a donné pouvoir sur ses trésors célestes et t’a fait entrer dans la maison de son Père par amour. Et tu es devenu ami, proche et compagnon de l’ami des hommes. 1

Bienheureux es-tu, Simon, car sur toi est construite l’Église, belle épouse de la lumière, à qui le Fils de Dieu a promis que les barrières de l’Enfer ne l’emporteraient pas sur elle. À son début la tête de l’épouse a été exaltée et elle méprise la mort et la ruine; en elle est placée la croix qui a dévasté l’Enfer par sa force invincible. 1
