"ܐܫܪܐ ܒܓܘ ܪܥܝܢܝ. ܢܒ̈ܥܐ ܕܝܘܠܦܢܟ. ܫܪܒܗܘܢ ܕܢܨܝ̈ܚܐ. ܕܒܫܪܪܗܘܢ ܐܥܕܝܘ. ܟܠܝ̈ܠܐ ܕܙܟܘܬܐ. ܘܙܟܘ ܘܐܬܢܨܚܘ. ܒܥܡܠܗܘܢ. ܘܒܕܡܐ ܕܨܘܪ̈ܝܗܘܢ ܨܒܬܘ ܩܢܘܡܝ̈ܗܘܢ. ܘܒܣܡ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܪܝܚܐ ܕ̈ܡܘܬܝܗܘܢ."1 "Fixe dans mon esprit les sources de ta doctrine, l’histoire des illustres qui par leur fermeté ont obtenu les couronnes de la victoire; ils ont vaincu et ont triomphé par leur peine et ils ont orné leurs personnes du sang de leurs cous, et ils rendu agréale à Dieu le parfum de leurs morts."1
