“ܪܬܚ ܗܘܐ ܚܘܒܗ ܕܒܪ ܐܠܗܐ ܒܐܪܒܥܝܢ ܣܗܕ̈ܐ. ܘܥܠܘ ܗܘܘ ܩܡܘ ܗܘܘ ܩܕܡ ܕܝ̈ܢܐ ܛܪ̈ܘܢܐ ܕܐܪܥܐ. ܒܝܡܬܐ ܕܡܝ̈ܐ ܐܩܝܡܘ ܐܢܘܢ ܠܠܝܐ ܟܠܗ. ܘܠܐ ܐܣܬܪܕܘ ܠܐ ܡܢ ܝܡܬܐ ܘܠܐ ܡܢ ܩܘܪܐ.” 1

“L’amour du Fils de Dieu brûlait dans les quarante martyrs; ils entrèrent et se tinrent devant les juges, tyrans de la terre. Ils les firent se tenir toute la nuit dans un lac d’eau et ils ne furent terrifiés ni par le lac ni par le gel.” 1
