"ܐܦܬܚ ܦܘܡܝ ܘܐܫܬܥܐ. ܥܠ ܪܚܡܬ ܚܝ̈ܐ ܚܕ̈ܬܐ. ܠܗܒܝܠ ܥܒܕܬ ܩܘܪܒܢܐ. ܣܓܘܠܐ ܕܐܪܥܐ ܒܚܡܪܗ ܪܘܝܬ. ܘܪܬܚ ܒܗܿ ܐܦ ܡܠܠ ܒܗܿ. ܘܓܥܐ ܒܗܿ ܥܠ ܩܛܘܠܗ. ܠܚܢܘܟ ܥܒܕܬ ܩܕܡܝܐ ܕܙܟܐ ܠܡܘܬܐ. ܒܬ ܩܛܝ̈ܠܐ ܙܕܝܩܐ ܘܠܗܿܘ ܚܝܐ ܘܢܨܝܚܐ. ܐܝܠܠ ܡܘܬܐ ܒܫܘܪܝܗ. ܕܢܒܕܩ ܥܠ ܫܘܠܡܗ."1 "Puissè-je ouvrir ma bouche et parler de l’amour de la vie nouvelle, qui a fait d’Abel une offrande et les raisins de la terre ont été rassasiés de son vin; il brûla de cet amour et en lui il parla et cria conre son meurtrier. D’Hénoch il a fait le premier qui vainquit la mort, juste parmi les tués; et à son début, la mort a pleuré ce vivant illustre pour montrer sa fin."1
