“ܣܗܕ̈ܐ ܕܐܪܟܢܘ ܨܘܪ̈ܝܗܘܢ. ܩܕܡ ܣܝܦܐ ܒܚܕܘܐ ܪܒܐ. ܐܦܝܣܘ ܥܡܢ ܠܡܫܝܚܐ. ܕܡܛܠܬܟܘܢ ܢܫܒܘܩ ܠܢ. ܒܝܘܡܐ ܕܕܐܿܢ ܐܠܗܐ. ܘܬܒܿܥ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܟܣܝ̈ܬܐ. ܐܪܣܘ ܩܕܡܘܗܝ ܒܥܘܬܐ. ܘܐܦܩܘ ܡܢܗ ܫܘܒܩܢܐ. ܪ̈ܚܘܡܘܗܝ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܫܪ̈ܝܪܐ. ܘܠܐ ܡܨܝܐ ܥܨܿܐ ܡܠܬܟܘܢ.” 1

“Martyrs qui avez incliné vos cous devant l’épée avec grande joie, suppliez avec nous le Christ pour qu’il nous pardonne à cause de vous au jour où Dieu jugera et demandera compte de toutes les choses cachées; répandez devant lui votre prière et obtenez de lui le pardon; vous êtes ses vrais amis et il ne peut pas résister à votre parole.” 1

“Les anges suivant l’ordre s’approchent d’eux en silence; toi, homme hardi, approche-toi sagement. Ne dormons pas devant les éveillés et ne nous endormons pas parmi les veilleurs; que notre veille soit pour la réconciliation et nos chants pour l’holocauste; que les voix des hommes faibles se mêlent aux Séraphins.” 1
