“439+ في جبل المتّينية والشمال الغربي من قرية ديركه شمالي ماردين مرحلة يوم عنها، رمّه يوحنا مطران ماردين وكان عامراً آهلاً عام 1230 ولاتزال رسومه العظيمة ماثلة” 2
“(d. 439) in the mountain of Matīniyya, northwest of the village of Dairkah, a day’s journey north of Mardin. It was rebuilt by John, metropolitan of Mardin, and was inhabited until 1230. Its magnificent remains can be seen to this day.” 3
