“439+ في جبل المتّينية والشمال الغربي من قرية ديركه شمالي ماردين مرحلة يوم عنها، رمّه يوحنا مطران ماردين وكان عامراً آهلاً عام 1230 ولاتزال رسومه العظيمة ماثلة”2
“(d. 439) in the mountain of Matīniyya, northwest of the village of Dairkah, a day’s journey north of Mardin. It was rebuilt by John, metropolitan of Mardin, and was inhabited until 1230. Its magnificent remains can be seen to this day.”3
