About A Digital Catalogue of Syriac Manuscripts in the British Library: A Linked Data Encoding of the Catalogue of William Wright

Introduction

A Digital Catalogue of Syriac Manuscripts in the British Library: A Linked Data Encoding of the Catalogue of William Wright is a digital encoding and enhancement of William Wright's Catalogue of Syriac Manuscripts in the British Museum acquired since the year 1838 (London: Gilbert and Rivington, 1870-1872). This project is a reference work undertaken in partnership with Syriaca.org: The Syriac Reference Portal. The Digital Catalogue’s goal is to create a Linked Open Data graph database through the use of Syriaca.org’s URIs as its authority file.

This project is still under development as of Fall 2021.
