ܚܒ̈ܝܒܝ̣. ܐܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܒܐܢܛܝܘܟܝܐ ܕܣܘܪܝܐ. ܐܢܬܬܐ ܚܕܐ ܡܢ ܒܢ̈ܝ ܐܝܣܪܐܝܠ. ܕܫܡܗܿ ܡܪܝܡ ܘܫܒ̈ܥܐ ܒܢ̈ܝܗܿ. ܒܝܘ̈ܡܝ ܐܢܛܝܟܘܣ ܚܢܦܐ ܘܪܫܝܥܐ. 1
Mes bien-aimés, il y avait à Antioche de Syrie une femme israélienne qui s’appelait Marie et avait sept fils, aux jours du païen et impie Antiochus. 1

Les trois n’étaient pas plus justes que les sept qui furent sauvés; leur justice fut digne comme leur confession fut digne; mais Dieu détourna les yeux de leurs actes pour que soit proclamée leur vérité. Et les saints furent couronnés le premier jour du mois d’Ab; que par leurs prières nous soyons tous jugés dignes de devenir leurs associés. Amen. 1
