Abstract

Mark (Old Syriac version) is the earliest extant translation of Mark (literary tradition) into Syriac as a "separated Gospel" (not a Gospel harmony). It was probably translated in the 4th or 5th century (though its roots may date to the 3rd), and it predates Mark (Peshitta version) , which ultimately replaced it in the 5th or 6th century.7
