ܐܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܒܙܒܢ̈ܐ ܗܢܘܢ ܕܡܠܟ̈ܐ ܡܗܝ̈ܡܢܐ̣. ܓܪܐܛܝܢܘܣ ܘܐܠܐܢܛܝܢܘܣ̣. ܓܒܪܐ ܚܕ ܒܡܕܝܢܬ ܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܩܘܢܣܛܢܛܝܢܘܦܠܝܣ ܐܘܦܪܟܐ ܕܡܠܟܐ. ܫܡܗ ܗܘܐ ܓܐܠܝܢܘܣ. ܡܠܟ ܗܘܐ ܡ̈ܠܟܘܗܝ ܕܡܠܟܐ. ܘܛܒ ܚܟܝܡ ܗܘܐ ܒܝܘܠܦܢܐ ܕܟ̈ܬܒܐ. 1
Au temps des rois croyants Gratien et Valentinien, il y avait dans la capitale de l’Empire Constantinople un homme, consul du roi, qui s’appelait Galien; il était à la tête des conseillers du roi et très savant dans la doctrine des Écritures. 1

Et quand il les eurent escortés comme il convenait, il les enterrèrent et les placèrent dans un cercueil au même endroit selon l’ordre du l’higoumène. Puissions-nous être jugés dignes avec eux de la part de leur héritage et de celui des saints leurs compagnons. Amen. 1
