ܘܗܘܐ ܒܫܢܬ ܥܣܪܝܢ ܘܚܡܫ ܕܝܘܟܢܝܐ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܝܗܘܕܐ: ܗܘܐ ܦܬܓܡܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܥܠ ܒܪܘܟ ܒܪ ܢܪܝܐ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗ: ܚܙܝܬ ܟܠ ܡܕܡ ܕܥܒܕ ܠܝ ܥܡܐ ܗܢܐ: ܒܝ̈ܫܬܐ ܕܥܒܕܘ ܗܠܝܢ ܬܪܝܢ ܫܒ̈ܛܝܢ ܕܦܫܘ ܝܬܝܪ ܡܢ ܥܣܪܐ ܫܒ̈ܛܝܢ ܕܐܫܬܒܝܘ. 1
Et il advint en l’an 25 de Jéchonias roi de Juda, que la parole du Seigneur arriva à Baruch fils de Nérias et il lui dit: «As-tu vu tout ce que me fait ce peuple, les mauvaises choses qu’on faites ces deux tribus qui sont restées, plus que les dix tribus qui ont été emmenées en captivité? 1

Salomon aussi, au temps de son règne, partout où il voulait envoyer ou demander quelque chose, ordonnait à un oiseau et celui-ci lui obéissait comme il le lui ordonnait. Et maintenant, ne sois pas dégoûté et ne dévie pas à droite ni à gauche, mais vole et va par une voie droite, pour garder le commandement du Tout-Puissant comme je te l’ai dit. 1
