“ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܗܢܐ ܩܕܝܫܐ: ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܗܘ̣ܐ ܡܢ ܐܬܪܐ ܕܒܝܬ ܓܪ̈ܡܝ: ܡܢ ܩܪܝܬܐ ܕܡܬܩܪܝܐ ܦܝܪܘܙܒܕ ܕܒܬܚܘܡܐ ܕܣܝܪܙܘܪ.”1 “Ce saint était originaire du pays de Beyt-Garmay, d’un village appelé Fîrôzabad dans le territoire de Sîrzour.”1
