"ܘܡܠܠ ܡܪܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܥܡ ܦܝܠܝܦܘܗ ܫܠܝܚܐ ܒܚܙܘܐ ܕܠܠܝܐ ܒܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗ. ܩܘܡ ܙܠ ܠܩܪܛܓܢܐ ܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܕܗܝ ܗܝ ܒܐܙܘܛܘܣ. ܘܐܦܩ ܡܢ ܬܡܢ ܠܐܪܟܘܢܗ ܕܣܛܢܐ. ܕܗܐ ܡܬܒܣܡ ܬܡܢ ܐܝܟ ܕܐܒܐ ܡܚܒܠܢܐ. ܕܡܬܒܣܡ ܒܥܢ̈ܐ ܕܠܝܬ ܠܗܿ ܪܥܝܐ. ܡܢ ܕܝܢ ܕܐܦܩܬܝܗܝ ܐܟܪܙ ܬܡܢ ܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܕܫܡܝܐ."1 "Et notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ parla avec l’apôtre Philippe dans une vision de la nuit à Jérusalem et lui dit: “Debout, va à Carthage qui est à Azotos. Expulse de là le prince de Satan. Voilà qu’il s’y réjouit comme un loup destructeur qui se réjouit de voir un troupeau sans berger. Après l’avoir expulsé, proclames-y le royaume des cieux.”"1

"ܝܗܘܕ̈ܝܐ ܕܝܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܠܐ ܐܬܛܦܝܣܘ ܠܡܠܬܗ ܕܫܠܝܚܐ. ܢܦܩܘ ܡܢ ܗܿܝ ܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܘܐܙܠܘ ܘܐܬܬܘܬܒܘ ܒܡܕܝ̈ܢܬܐ ܐܚܪ̈ܢܝܬܐ. ܘܟܕ ܥܕܟܝܠ ܫܡܫܐ ܠܐ ܥܪܒ ܗܘܐ. ܡܚܐ ܡܠܐܟܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܘܩܛܠ ܐܪ̈ܒܥܝܢ ܟܗ̈ܢܝܢ ܡܢ ܝܗܘܕ̈ܝܐ. ܥܠ ܕܐܫܕ ܕܡܐ ܙܟܝܐ ܕܓܒܪܐ ܟܐܢܐ ܘܙܕܝܩܐ. ܘܟܠ ܕܫܡܥܘ ܘܚܙܘ. ܐܘܕܝܘ ܘܣܓܕܘ ܘܫܒܚܘ ܘܐܡܪܘ. ܚܕܘ ܐܠܗܐ ܫܪܝܪܐ ܡܪܢܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ. ܘܥܡܗ ܐܒܘܗܝ... ܘܐܡܝܢ."1 "Mais les juifs qui n’avaient pas cru à la parole de l’apôtre sortirent de cette ville et allèrent s’installer dans d’autres villes. Et avant le coucher du soleil, l’ange du Seigneur frappa et tua quarante prêtres des juifs, parce qu’ils avaient répandu le sang pur d’un homme droit et juste. Et tous ceux qui entendirent et virent confessèrent, adorèrent, glorifièrent et dirent: “Un est le vrai Dieu notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ; et avec lui son Père… Amen.”"1
