ܠܐ ܗܟܝܠ ܒܨܝܪܐ ܕܥܘܗܕܢܐ ܕܬܫܥܝܬܐ ܐܦ ܕܦܘܠܘܣ ܐܠܗܝܐ ܘܦܥܠܐ ܟܫܝܪܐ. ܕܡܢ ܨܦܪܐ ܠܪܡܫܐ ܕܠܐ ܡܐܝܢܘܬܐ ܦܠܚ ܒܟܪܡܐ ܕܡܪܗ. ܢܫܬܒܩ ܡܢ ܣܕܝܪܘܬܐ ܕܒܣܝܥܬܐ ܗܕܐ ܪܘܚܢܝܬܐ ܐܬܪܫܡܘ. 1
Ce n’est pas une mince affaire que le souvenir de l’histoire du divin Paul, ouvrier appliqué, qui a travaillé dans la vigne de son Seigneur du matin au soir sans paresse, soit omise de l’ordre de ceux qui ont inscrit dans cette troupe spirituelle. 1

ܟܕ ܣܓܝ̈ܐܐ ܡܟܝܠ ܛܢܢܗ ܢܠܒܫܘܢ ܘܬܪܒܝܬܐ ܢܬܠܘܢ ܠܬܫܡܫܬܐ ܗܕܐ̣. ܥܕܡܐ ܕܬܪܒܐ ܘܬܬܝܬܪ ܘܬܬܦܬܐ ܒܟܠ ܕܘܟ. ܐܦ ܬܘܣܦܘܬܐ ܒܟܠ ܝܘܡ ܬܗܘܐ ܠܬܫܒܘܚܬܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܘܠܢܝܚܐ ܕܡ̈ܣܟܢܐ. 1
Tandis que beaucoup revêtaient son zèle et donnaient un accroissement à ce ministère, jusqu’à ce qu’il s’accroisse et grandisse et se dilate en tout lieu et que chaque jour une addition soit faite à la gloire de Dieu et au soulagement des pauvres. 1
