“ܢܝܫܗ ܗܟܝܠ ܕܛܘܒܢܐ ܗܢܐ ܠܐܘܢܛܝ ܩܫܝܫܐ̣. ܣܓܝ ܦܚܿܡ ܗܘܐ ܠܕܛܘܒܢܐ ܐܗܪܘܢ. ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܐܦ ܒܚ̈ܕܕܐ ܡܟܝܠ ܡܡܪܝܢ ܗܘܘ.”1 “La disposition de ce bienheureux prêtre Léonce était très semblable à celle du bienheureux Aaron, à tel point qu’ils rivalisaient donc l’un avec l’autre.”1

“ܛܘܒܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܝܘܚܢܢ: ܗܿܘ ܕܐܦ ܩܫܝܫ̣. ܥܕܟܝܠ ܒܦܓܪܐ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܗܘܐ ܟܕ ܗܠܝܢ ܐܬܟܬܒ̣. ܒܗܘܢ ܒܕܘܒܪ̈ܐ ܕܕܚܠܬ ܐܠܗܐ ܐܦ ܒܣܝܒܘܬܐ ܥܡܝܩܬܐ.”1 “Le bienheureux Jean, prêtre lui aussi, était encore en vie quand cela a été écrit, menant une vie pieuse à un âge avancé.”1
