ܠܐ ܗܘܬ ܗܟܝܠ ܒܨܝܪܐ ܡܢ ܬܗܪܐ̣. ܐܦܠܐ ܬܫܥܝܬܐ ܕܩܕܝܫܬܐ ܗܕܐ ܡܪܝܡ. ܐܝܿܕܐ ܕܒܟܝܢܐ ܒܠܚܘܕ ܕܡܘܬܐ ܫܩܝܠܐ ܗܘܬ ܕܢܩ̈ܒܬܐ.1 Aussi l’histoire de cette sainte Marie ne fut pas non plus moins admirable, elle qui dans sa nature seulement portait l’apparence des femelles.1

ܘܟܕ ܕܝܢ ܚܝܠܬܢܐܝܬ ܘܓܢܒܪܐܝܬ ܫ̈ܢܝܐ ܬܠܬܝܢ ܒܐܘܪܚܐ ܕܙܕܝܩܘܬܐ ܪܕܬ̣. ܫܠܡܬ ܪܗܛܗܿ ܘܩܒܠܬ ܟܠܝܠܐ ܕܕܘܒܪ̈ܝܗ̣ܿ. ܘܐܬܬܢܝܚܬ ܒܫܠܡܐ.1 Et après avoir marché sur le chemin de la justice avec force et héroïsme pendant trente ans, elle finit sa course, reçut la couronne de sa vie, et s’endormit en paix.1
