ܘܗܘܐ ܗܘܐ ܒܫܢܬܐ ܩܕܡܝܬܐ ܕܫܒܥ ܫ̈ܢܝܢ ܕܣܒܥܐ: ܒܚܡܫܬܐ ܒܝܪܚܐ ܕܬܪܝܢ. ܫܕܪ ܦܪܥܘܢ ܠܝܘܣܦ ܕܢܬܟܪܟ ܒܟܠܗܿ ܐܪܥܐ ܕܡܨܪܝܢ. 1
Et il advint la première des sept années d’abondance, le cinq du deuxième mois, Pharaon envoya Joseph faire le tour de toute la terre d’Égypte. 1

Et Joseph confia la couronne au petit-fils de Pharaon, qui était à la mamelle quand mourut Pharaon; et Joseph fut comme le père de l’enfant en Égypte tous les jours de sa vie. 1
