ܐܝܬ ܗܘ̣ܐ ܕܝܢ ܛܠܝܐ ܚܕ ܒܐܢܛܝܘܟܝܐ ܡܕܝܢܬܐ: ܕܫܡܗ ܐܢܕܪܘܢܝܩܘܣ. ܒܐܘܡܢܘܬܗ ܕܝܢ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܗܘ̣ܐ ܐܪܓܘܪܦܪܛܝܣ: ܗܢܘ ܕܝܢ ܡܙܒܢ ܣܐܡܐ. ܐܝܬ ܗܘ̣ܐ ܠܗ ܕܝܢ ܐܢܬܬܐ ܒܪܬܗ ܕܝܘܚܢܢ: ܕܐܦ ܗܘ ܐܪܓܘܪܦܪܛܝܣ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܗܘ̣ܐ ܒܐܘܡܢܘܬܗ: ܘܫܡܗܿ ܗܘ̣ܐ ܐܬܢܣܝܐ. 1
Il y avait dans la ville d’Antioche un jeune homme appelé Andronic. Il exerçait le métier d’argyroprate, c’est-à-dire vendeur d’argent. Il avait pour épouse la fille d’un certain Jean, également argyroprate de son métier, qui s’appelait Athanasie. 1

Le vieillard leur dit: «Célébrons le septième jour de la mort de notre frère.» Et ils ne le laissèrent pas et ils l’emmenèrent et montèrent. Mais nous tous, mes frères, prions notre Seigneur de nous juger dignes… Amen. 1
