ܗܘܐ ܒܝܘ̈ܡܬܐ ܕܕܘܩܠܝܛܝܢܘܣ ܡܠܟܐ ܐܢܬܝܡܣ ܗܘܦܪܟܐ. ܗܢܐ ܟܕ ܐܬܟܪܗ ܕܢܡܘܬ: ܩܪܐ ܠܣܠܝܢܘܣ ܐܚܘܗܝ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗ: ܐܢܐ ܐܘ ܐܚܝ: ܡܢ ܨܒ̈ܘܬܐ ܐܢܫܝ̈ܬܐ ܢܦܩ ܐܢܐ: ܠܒܪܝ ܕܝܢ ܠܘܣܝܡܟܘܣ ܒܐܝܕܝ̈ܟ ܡܓܥܠ ܐܢܐ: ܘܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܡܟܪܢܢ ܚܢܢ ܠܗ ܠܒܪܬܗ ܕܦܪܘܣܦܪܘܣ ܣܘܢܩܠܝܛܝܩܐ: ܢܬܒܛܠ ܠܟ ܒܬܪ ܡܘܬܝ ܕܬܥܒܕ ܠܗ ܡܫܬܘܬܐ: ܘܬܗܘܐ ܠܗܘܢ ܒܕܘܟܬ ܐܒܐ.1 Aux jours de l’empereur Dioclétien, Anthime était consul. Alors qu’il était mortellement malade, il appela son frère Sélénos et lui dit: «Mon frère, je quitte les affaires humaines; je te confie mon fils Lysimaque et comme nous l’avons fiancé à la fille du sénateur Prosphore, tu auras soin après ma mort de lui faire un banquet et tu leur tiendras lieu de père.»1

ܘܟܕ ܒܡܘ̈ܗܒܬܐ ܪܘܪ̈ܒܬܐ ܐܬܒܣܡܘ: ܗܦܟܘ ܒܫܠܡܐ ܠܒܬܝ̈ܗܘܢ: ܟܕ ܚܕܝܢ ܘܡܫܒܚܝܢ ܠܡܪܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ: ܕܠܗ... ܐܡܝܢ. ܒܪܐܘܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܬܪܬܝܢ ܫܢܝ̈ܢ ܚܝܬ ܒܬܪ ܚܘܕܬܗ ܕܗܝܟܠܐ ܕܛܘܒܢܝܬܐ... ܐܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܬܐܘܡܐܝܣ ܡܣܟܢܬܐ: ܡܢ ܒܬܪ ܕܡܟܘܬܗ ܕܡܪܬܝ ܒܪܘܢܐ: ܩܡܬ ܒܕܘܟܬܗ... ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܐܦ ܗܢܘܢ ܢܫܬܘܘܢ ܠܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܕܫܡܝܐ ܒܡܫܝܚܐ... ܐܡܝܢ.1 Et quand ils furent réjouis de grandes grâces, ils rentrèrent en paix chez eux, joyeux et louant notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ, à qui… Amen. Bryènè vécut deux ans après la dédicace du temple de la bienheureuse… Moi la pauvre Thomaïs, après la mort de Mart Bryènè, je l’ai remplacée… pour qu’eux aussi soient jugés dignes du royaume des cieux dans le Christ… Amen.1
