Sa souche et sa famille étaient de la région de Bleshpar, et son village était Beyt-Gallayé, près du fleuve Tourmarâ. 1

Ce fut donc la fin du combat et le départ de saint Mâr Sabâ de ce monde, en l’an 261 du règne des Perses. Et chacun d’eux, quand il perdra la vie, que le Seigneur lui accorde ses demandes, et qu’ils passent d’ici au lieu des biens célestes des biens. Amen. 1
