ܗܿܘ ܕܡܬܦܫܩ ܫܡܐ ܕܟܘܢܝܗ ܐܝܟ ܕܡܢ ܠܫܢܐ ܦܪܣܝܐ ܘܠܫܢܐ ܐܪܡܝܐ ܫܦܝܪ ܫܡܐ. ܗܘܐ ܕܝܢ ܟܘܠܠܐ ܕܢܨܚܢܘ̈ܗܝ ܘܕܣܗ̈ܕܐ ܚܒܪ̈ܘܗܝ ܘܟ̈ܢܘܬܗ ܒܫܢܬ ܫܬܡܐܐ ܘܫܬܝܢ ܘܬܠܬ ܫܢ̈ܝܢ ܕܐܠܟܣܢܕܪܘܣ: ܒܝܘ̈ܡܝ ܝܘܠܝܢܘܣ ܡܠܟܐ ܪܫܝܥܐ. 1
Son nom se traduit de perse en araméen “au beau nom”. Le couronnement de ses hauts faits et des martyrs ses amis et ses compagnons eut lieu en l’an 663 d’Alexandre, aux jours de Julien, l’empereur impie. 1

Mais le couronnement de saint Mâr Behnam et de ses illustres compagnons martyrs eut lieu le dix décembre. Et voici que s’écoulent de leurs os des bienfaits pour tous ceux qui se réfugient avec foi auprès de leur châsse; que par leurs prières… Oui et amen. 1
