“ܫܘܐ ܠܫܘܒܚܐ ܡܢ ܟܠ ܦܘܡܝ̈ܢ ܘܟܠ ܠܫܢܝ̈ܢ: ܐܒܐ ܘܒܪܐ ܘܪܘܚܐ ܕܩܘܕܫܐ ܚܕܐ ܐܝܬܘܬܐ. ܫܘܐ ܠܫܘܒܚܐ ܕܟܕ ܒܠܚܘܕܘܗܝ ܡܢ ܡܬܘܡ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ: ܨܒܐ ܒܛܝܒܘܬܗ ܕܢܒܪܐ ܒܪܝܬܐ ܕܬܕܥ ܫܘܒܚܗ.”1 1
“Digne de gloire de toutes les bouches et de toutes les langues est le Père, le Fils et le Saint Esprit, unique essence, digne de gloire lui qui, alors que lui seul est éternellement, a voulu dans sa grâce créer la création pour qu’elle connaisse sa gloire.”1 1

“ܒܗܕܐ ܐܘܪܚܐ ܕܡܣܩܐ ܠܪܘܡܐ ܕܒܝܬ ܐܠܗܐ ܪܕܐ ܩܕܝܫܐ ܡܪܝ ܣܒܪܝܫܘܥ ܕܫܪܒܗ ܢܨܚ. ܡܢ ܛܠܝܘܬܗ ܠܒܟܗܿ ܠܐܘܪܚܐ ܡܡܢܥܬ ܠܚܝ̈ܐ ܘܬܪܝܨܐܝܬ ܪܕܐ ܒܐܘܢ̈ܐ ܡܡܦܛܝܝ̈ ܠܛܘܒ̈ܐ.”1 1
“Sur ce chemin qui fait monter dans les hauteurs vers la maison de Dieu marcha saint Mâr Sabrîshô‘ dont la l’histoire est glorieuse. Dès son enfance il prit ce chemin qui mène à la vie et marcha droit dans les demeures qui font parvenir au bonheur.”1 1

“Les enfants justes de Mâr Sabrîshô‘ sont une multitude et leurs noms sont manifestés et connus du Seigneur seul. Voilà l’histoire de Mâr Sabrîshô’ en résumé et les actes de ses fils qui ont imité sa vaillance. Les choses qui ont été laissées sont bien plus nombreuses que celles qui ont été écrites car la parole n’a pas pu suffire à les définir. Mais ce que j’ai consigné ici je l’ai consigné avec exactitude, je l’ai écrit comme je l’ai lu dans leurs histoires. Ô Sabrîshô‘… pour les siècles des siiècles.”1 1
